It is no surprise that Adelaide has become the destination for road cycling in Australia. The proximity of the Adelaide Hills and the famous wine-growing regions of McLaren Vale and Barossa Valley make Adelaide an idyllic area for a World Tour cycling event.

Bikestyle Tours has been a long supporter of the Tour Down Under, and we’re proud to be the longest operating Travel Specialist for the event. We are enthused every year to share our experience with our guests and give them a truly memorable cycling holiday.

Adelaide continues to attract the world’s greatest cyclists to battle out for the unique ochre jersey. In the spirit of a Grand Tour event, time is accumulated for general classification and points for mountains and sprint classifications. Likewise, a young rider classification adds extra motivation to up-and-coming Australian riders mixing it with the World Tour teams, who someday hope for a professional racing contract.
