Your Tour de France adventure begins the moment you land at Lyon Saint-Exupery Airport 11.30am , where our friendly Bikestyle Tours team will be waiting to greet you. Once all guests are on board, we’ll kick off your Tour experience in true French style, with a traditional wine tasting. It’s the perfect way to ease into the rhythm of France and get to know your fellow travellers over a glass (or two!) of something special.

After sampling some of the region’s finest vintages, we’ll transfer to our hotel in the heart of the French Alps, ideally located for the thrilling final stages of the Tour de France. The scenery alone will take your breath away, alpine peaks, winding roads, and that unmistakable buzz that sweeps the nation every July.

As evening falls, we’ll gather for a relaxed afternoon apéro, a chance to meet your Bikestyle Tours crew and other passionate fans joining you for the week. After a relaxed breakfast and a leisurely start, we’ll journey to Voiron, the host of today’s Stage 17 finish,  a flat and fast finale from Chambéry to Voiron. The air crackles with anticipation as this marks the sprinters’ final chance for glory before the race turns toward the mountains and Paris.

As we join the growing crowds along the barriers, the atmosphere is electric, fans waving flags, the music pumping, and the smell of French street food filling the air. Then suddenly, it happens: a blur of colour and power as the peloton charges toward the finish line, wheels overlapping and elbows out in a breathtaking dash for victory. Watching a Tour de France sprint finish in person is nothing short of thrilling, pure speed, precision, and adrenaline on display.

Once the stage winner has raised their arms in triumph, we’ll transfer back to our alpine base, where the evening is yours to relax, share stories, and toast to an unforgettable day at the race.

A Tour de France stage start is pure theatre,  the team buses lined up, mechanics fine-tuning bikes, music blaring, and fans crowding for autographs. You’ll have the chance to wander the paddock, watch the riders sign on, and feel the nervous energy as the peloton readies itself for one of the Tour’s most challenging days. Cameras click, crowds cheer, and the anticipation builds until the flag drops and the race begins!

Once the riders roll out, we’ll continue our journey deeper into the French Alps, checking into our next hotel just in time to catch the stage finale on TV, wine in hand and mountain views all around. The evening is yours to explore local restaurants or enjoy a quiet dinner reflecting on another unforgettable day at the world’s greatest race.

Today is one for the history books, the legendary Alpe d’Huez stage of the Tour de France! Every cycling fan dreams of standing on this mountain, and today you’ll be part of the spectacle. The energy, the colour, the crowds, this is the Tour de France at its most electrifying.

We’ll travel up the valley to Bourg d’Oisans, the gateway to Alpe d’Huez and a buzzing hub of cycling passion. Wander through the village’s lively streets, browse souvenir shops, and soak up the anticipation as the excitement builds for the day’s epic showdown.

Then, we’ll head to our prime vantage point on the mountain, surrounded by cheering fans, waving flags, and the unmistakable roar of the crowd. As the riders battle their way up the 21 iconic switchbacks, you’ll witness the raw emotion, determination, and drama that define this legendary climb.

After the final rider crosses the summit and the celebrations subside, we’ll transfer back to our hotel for a group dinner, toasting an unforgettable day spent on cycling’s most famous mountain.

After checking into our hotel, we’ll make our way to the Champs-Élysées, where the energy is electric. The crowds grow, the music swells, and champagne corks pop as the peloton enters the city for its final laps. Standing roadside along the famous cobblestones, you’ll witness the culmination of three incredible weeks of racing, the exhaustion, the triumph, and the pure emotion of the world’s most prestigious finish line.

Our Giro d’Italia tour covers the final two weeks of the race. Due to the locations it visits, it’s not practical to attend the race for just a day or two. Based on our experience, a two-week duration provides the best Giro experience.

The official route for the 2025 Giro race will be released in early November. However, our tour will cover the final two weeks of racing and will finish on the 2nd of June.

Yes, the 2025 Giro d’Italia is generally more challenging than a Tour de France cycling tour. It has steeper climbs, and the weather can be cooler, with many mountain passes still covered in snow, but it offers breathtaking views on every ride.
