Scott BuddTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. My wife (Ruth) and I joined Bikestyle tours on their 2025 Vuelta Espana Tour. Having had a really positive experience with Bikestyle on the 2011 TdF tour, we were confident that this tour would also be great, but I have to say it exceeded expectations. Firstly, the hotels were exceptional. I can only imagine how hard it was to find suitable accommodation for a group in some of these out of the way regions. The Las Caldas hotel and the Monastery at Santo Estevo were standouts but all of the hotels were great and a step up from our last tour. Secondly, we loved our guides, Eric and Claire. They were truly extraordinary and we were so lucky to have them guide us around. The group on this tour was quite small (only seven people) and so there was even more pressure on them, as they were spending a lot more time in contact with each of us. We thoroughly enjoyed their company, not just as guides but as great people. I was particularly grateful for the extra kindness and attention that Claire showed to Ruth (as the only female rider in the group and who was very self conscious about not wanting to hold people up). Claire did an amazing job of managing a variety of different riding abilities which, in a small group, was much more challenging. Thirdly, the organisation and logistics were great. The whole tour went seamlessly, even with unexpected events such as the protests that occurred. It was also great that Eric was able to wangle us into a team bus and have some contact with the Teams which was very special. There was a very good balance between riding and watching the race in the various locations and we felt that we saw as much of the race as we needed to. All in all, we had a great time. We are already looking ahead for our next one. Thanks again to Adam and the whole team. Scott ButlerTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Thanks Eric, Claire and the Bikestyle crew for a wonderful La Vuelta trip this year. The itinerary, hotels and group dinners were all first class. Thanks especially to Claire for her support in getting to the top of L’Angliru. Definitely one to tick off the bucket list! Greg TannerTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We loved every minute of our recent 2025 La Vuelta trip with my wife attending as a non-riding spectator. Eric & Claire were fantastic guides / friends throughout our Spanish journey with Sue becoming a quasi member of the Bikestyle team. We would highly recommend Bikestyle Tours to anyone considering their 1st cycling tour either as a rider or spectator. John JohnsonTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. This BikeStlye Tour was a fantastic experience! The staff was extraordinary, the accommodations superb, the scenery beautiful, and cycling challenging. I would do it again in a heartbeat. Craig DavisTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Update: Another great trip in 2025! Update: Tour de France Femmes 2023 was THE BEST. Thanks Adam, Petra, Sophie and especially Alex who rode up Tourmelet 3 times in a day to help us. Photo is Pic de Nore, gorgeous riding. Bikestyle are an absolute pleasure to travel with. Friendly, easy to get on with and really know their stuff. They're organised but flexible so everything happens but always in a relaxed laid back way. Another highlight is the great people they seem to attract, I've always met people I really like to ride with and travel with in bikestyle groups. The trips I've done with bikestyle have been some of my best memories and I look forward to travelling with them again in the future. Faye GoodyearTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Tour was very well organised and accomodation and food was good with dietary requirements dealt with well. Amazing rides and scenery. Hope to return soon! Highly recommended Michael RoyalTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. To all cycling enthusiasts out there, do yourself a favour and book a cycling adventure with BIKESTYLE TOURS. It is just an amazing experience. I was very much looking forward to the last week of the Tour de France 2025 in the months leading up to event, but when it was actually happening it was so much better than I imagined. Everything about the event was superb. The planning that goes into an event such as this is a credit to Adam and his sensational crew of people on the ground to make it an unforgettable time. I could not fault anything on the tour. They had thought of everything and were flexible and accommodating along the way. Meals, accommodation, cycle routes, transport, bikes and knowledge transfer from the staff were all first class. Being in the French Alps is a majestic experience and to be able to check out the landscape on a bike is incredible. I would like to think I can do something like this again. Having done it once it, it is most tempting to give another tour ago in the not too distant future. Fabulous time!! Michael J Royal Jodie HTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I have just completed the 2022 Giro Tour with Bikestyle. What a fantastic experience. From when I first contacted Adam, we had to battle through covid and lockdown. He was so accommodating and supportive. On the trip he is the perfect tour leader and guide, cool, calm, fun and generous with his time. He is well backed up by ex pro Eric De Clerc, super experienced, interested in talking about his life as a rider but also yours. Diego is Adam’s go to man for Italy, fluent in 4 languages, the most helpful guy who is so passionate about cycling and his country. Bruno was our driver, so good to have Frenchman along. Couldn’t get a better driver but also fun to be around and do anything for you. I achieved my goal of climbing the Stelvio on a brilliant day along with some other fabulous climbs. But more than that, we watched the Giro racing through villages and finally culminating in the arena in Verona with a win to Jai Hindley. Seems Adam can organise anything, weather and a spectacular Giro win too. Thanks guys, can’t recommend you enough. Mike BrookerTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. This was a great trip. There is nothing like doing bucket list climbs in Europe and having all the logistics sorted for you, and a great bunch of people to ride with. This was the 4th Bikestyle trip I’ve been on (each different) and each time on my own. Every time the trips are well organised, the guides are really good (exceptional experience- how often do you get to ride with a 5x TdF finisher!) and the other guests are always ‘likeminded’ and good fun. Thanks BS. dchuffmanTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We just returned from Bikestyle Tours Spectator Tour for the Tour de France. It was an amazing experience and Bikestyle had every aspect of the trip planned to perfection. The transport, the hotels, the dinners, and our two exceptional tour hosts made this trip such a pleasure. We recommend them completely and without qualification! Thank you Bikestyle for the trip of a lifetime!Google rating score: 5.0 of 5, based on 105 reviews

Your Itinerary
Welcome to Barcelona!
Welcome to the Mediterranean! Our team greets you in Barcelona Airport at 11:00am and whisks you along the coast to Lloret de Mar, a lively seaside base perfectly placed for the opening days of the Tour. Once checked in, we’ll turn travel into anticipation: bikes are built or fitted, hire bikes dialled, and your ride bag stocked with essentials.
After a relaxed briefing that covers daily routines, support vehicles, and the spectator program, we slip out for a gentle coastal spin.
The ride is deliberately easy, just enough to wake the legs after the flight, take in cliff-top viewpoints, and feel the salt air in your lungs.
Back at the hotel there’s time to freshen up before an apéro where you’ll meet fellow guests and your guides, veterans of many Tours, with tips on navigating crowds and catching the best vantage points. We’ll outline the plan for the team presentation and first stages, then sit down to a convivial welcome dinner.
- Warm-up coastal ride: Enjoy a gentle spin along the Mediterranean, taking in stunning cliff-top views and sea air.
- Expert tour briefing: Meet your experienced Bikestyle guides and learn insider tips for making the most of your Tour de France experience.
- Welcome dinner & apéro: Relax after travel with fellow guests over local cuisine and drinks, setting the tone for an unforgettable week ahead

Coastal Spin & Team Presentations in Barcelona
Today blends two of our favourite things: an unhurried Mediterranean ride and the showtime spectacle of the team presentation. We roll out after breakfast for a coastal route that threads quiet lanes and balcony roads looking over coves and pines. Stronger riders can add a cheeky inland loop; others may keep it breezy along the shore. The aim is rhythm, smooth pedalling, open views, and café stops where the espresso hits just right.
Mid-afternoon we transfer into Barcelona as the city’s heartbeat quickens. You’ll feel the buzz build around the presentation village: soigneurs wheel bikes, mechanics polish, fans gather with flags, and the music swells as the teams are called one by one. It’s the rare chance to see the peloton up-close before the race numbers go on, smiles are broader, nerves are real, and the season’s narratives collide on a single stage.
When the lights fade we leave time for a free-form evening tapas with friends, a stroll past modernist facades, or a quick gelato before our return to the coast.
- Ride the Mediterranean coast: Enjoy a relaxed morning ride along quiet balcony roads and pine-lined coves, with optional inland loops for extra challenge.
- Experience the team presentation: Feel the buzz in Barcelona as the pros take the stage — music, fans, and that unmistakable pre-race excitement.
- Evening in the city: Savour a casual tapas dinner, explore Barcelona’s vibrant streets, or unwind with a gelato before returning to the coast.

Ride & Relax: Costa Brava
Balance is everything in the opening week: a little riding, a little recovery, and plenty of room for serendipity. This morning’s loop heads north of Lloret, mixing rolling terrain with small climbs that reveal new angles of the coast.
We’ll set gentle groups to keep conversation flowing and make space for stronger riders to stretch their legs with optional extensions. Support vehicles carry spare layers and snacks; your guides keep the pace right and the stories coming from roadside rituals to the anatomy of a sprint lead-out.
After lunch, the day is yours. Walk the promenade, dip your toes in the Med, find a shady terrace for a long coffee, or explore a medieval old town inland. We reconvene for a short early-evening briefing about tomorrow’s logistics so you can tune your plan: shoes by the door, camera charged, and a sense of calm before the race roars to life.
- Scenic coastal ride: Enjoy a relaxed morning loop north of Lloret with rolling terrain, gentle climbs, and optional extensions for stronger riders.
- Easy afternoon freedom: Stroll the promenade, explore a medieval village, or unwind with coffee by the Mediterranean.
- Evening camaraderie: Gather for a relaxed briefing, share stories from the day.

Grand Depart Team Time Trial
Race day! We keep the legs fresh with a short morning spin, then board the train into Barcelona for a precision masterclass: the Team Time Trial. Few spectacles in cycling are as exciting; eight riders moving as one, smooth as glass, swapping turns at the front, every second accounted for.
We’ll position you to feel the speed and the wind that follows a squad as it blasts past, the subtle choreography of rotations, and the razor-thin margins that separate triumph from disappointment. Between start ramps and split times, there’s time to soak up the carnival: team buses humming, directors tapping stem caps, families cheering on sons and daughters. Our staff handle logistics so you can stay in the moment.
After podium ceremonies, we slip back to the coast by rail, leaving the evening open for dinner by the sea and stories of who looked fastest.
- Pre-race warm-up: Start the day with an easy spin to keep the legs loose before diving into the Tour’s high-speed spectacle.
- Team Time Trial action: Witness cycling’s most precise discipline up close — the power, coordination, and thrill of teams flying past at full speed.
- Seaside evening unwind: Return to the coast for a relaxed dinner by the sea, sharing stories from an unforgettable day of Tour de France racing.

Coastal Relaxation
The best tours ebb and flow. After the theatre of the TTT, today is about choice. Join a social roll that hugs the shoreline and dips into quieter hinterland roads, or claim a true recovery day, beach, book, siesta. Riders opting in will find a route tuned for conversation and sun-splashed vistas; those opting out can indulge in local markets or a lazy tapas lunch.
The evening is deliberately light: pack what you won’t need until the mountains, top up bidons for tomorrow’s transfer, and enjoy a final coastal sunset.
- Choose your pace: Enjoy a relaxed social ride along the coast or take a full recovery day with beach time, a good book, or a leisurely tapas lunch.
- Scenic cycling option: For those riding, expect easy terrain, sunshine, and quiet backroads perfect for conversation and soaking in the views.

Granollers Start, Transfer to the Pyrenees
We pivot from sea to summits. After breakfast we load the coach and point inland toward the day’s stage start in Granollers. Stage starts are a sensory feast: call-ups, signatures, media scrums, and last-minute bike tweaks as riders shoulder into position. It’s the best place to sense personality, leaders composed, domestiques joking, sprinters sizing each other up.
We’ll secure a spot where you can watch the roll-out, then continue our journey to the Pyrenees, settling into our mountain base in Oloron-Sainte-Marie.
Tonight we dine together, regional flavours, a glass raised to the days ahead and brief the options for Tourmalet. Pack your rain jacket and a warm layer for the summit; tomorrow we climb into legend.
- Experience a Tour stage start: Get up close to the pros in Granollers as teams prepare — signatures, last-minute tweaks, and pre-race tension in the air.

Your Time to Shine - Col du Tourmalet
Tourmalet needs little introduction. It’s not just a climb, it’s a rite of passage, a name etched into cycling’s collective memory. We will bus to a smart start point and begin with measured pacing, saving a gear for the final kilometres where the road tips skyward and the views open.
Riders can choose their tempo; guides will leapfrog with support to keep you fuelled and smiling. Cresting the pass, you’ll feel why champions speak of this place with reverence; clouds close enough to touch, cowbells and cheers, and that thin, fizzy air of achievement.
We regroup for photos and extra layers before a careful descent. The afternoon is unstructured by design, take a massage, nap, or a quiet stroll and the evening is free to sample Pyrenean cuisine.
- Conquer the Col du Tourmalet: Tackle one of cycling’s most iconic climbs at your own pace, fully supported with guides, fuel, and encouragement along the way.
- Summit celebration: Soak up the magic at the top, stunning views, cowbells, cheers, and that unforgettable sense of achievement.

Soulor & Aubisque, Stage Finish in Pau
The balcony road between Soulor and Aubisque might be the most photogenic stretch of tarmac in the Pyrenees. We start with a steady climb to the Soulor, settle into the traverse where cliffs fall away and eagles ride thermals, then tilt up once more to the Aubisque. Support vans dot the route with hydration and warm layers, and there’s space for extensions for those chasing extra vertical.
Depending on the day’s conditions and your chosen option, we’ll roll on to Pau or transfer post-ride to see the pros take on a sprint finish. Either way, the feeling is the same: big-mountain satisfaction and a camera roll full of switchbacks and sprint finishes.
Dinner is hosted tonight at the hotel, a relaxed debrief of favourite moments and a look ahead to tomorrow’s pre-race ride on Aspin and Tourmalet.
- Ride the legendary balcony road: Climb the Col du Soulor and traverse toward the Col d’Aubisque — one of the most scenic stretches in the Pyrenees.

Ride the Legend: Col d’Aspin & Tourmalet Stage Day
Today is one of those pinch-yourself moments, the kind of day that defines what it means to follow the Tour de France from the saddle. We’ll begin with a morning coach transfer to our ride start, where the excitement is already building. From there, it’s straight onto the graceful slopes of the Col d’Aspin, a steady, scenic ascent that winds through pine forests and alpine meadows, setting the tone for a truly unforgettable day.
From the summit, we roll on toward the mighty Col du Tourmalet, where the atmosphere grows more electric with every switchback. Barbecues smoke by the roadside, cowbells ring, and chalk names stretch across the tarmac, a living canvas of cycling passion. As we climb higher, the roar of the crowd swells until we find our perfect vantage point near the summit. Here, the mountain becomes a stage: the caravan sweeps through, the air buzzes with energy, and when the favourites appear, the sound is thunder, a wall of noise and awe.
After the race, we’ll descend carefully toward Bagnères-de-Bigorre, taking in the sweep of the valley and the lingering buzz of the day’s drama. Back at the hotel, bikes are prepped for tomorrow’s ride, and the evening is yours to unwind, relive the day’s highlights, and refuel for the climbs still to come.

Into the Heart of France: The Journey to Auvergne
Today marks a new chapter in our Grand Tour adventure as we bid farewell to our Grand Départ companions and head north toward the tranquil beauty of central France. After dropping part of the group at Toulouse Airport, we continue our own journey through changing landscapes, from the sun-drenched Mediterranean tones to the lush, volcanic green of the Auvergne region.
The drive is relaxed and scenic, unfolding across rolling farmland and sleepy villages that hint at the timeless rhythm of rural France. By late afternoon, we arrive in Laguiole, our base for the next few days, a town famed for its artisan knife-makers, creamy local cheeses, and peaceful countryside.
For those keen to keep the legs turning, an optional recovery spin awaits: a short loop along quiet country lanes bordered by hedgerows and grazing cattle, perfect for loosening up before the next mountain chapter begins. As evening falls, the mood shifts to easy contentment, enjoy a leisurely dinner in the village square, perhaps tasting the region’s famous aligot or a hearty Aubrac steak under the soft glow of the French countryside.
- Scenic transition north: Journey from the Mediterranean light to the volcanic heart of Auvergne.
- Optional recovery ride: Stretch the legs on peaceful country lanes surrounded by classic French farmland.
- Taste of tradition: Savour Laguiole’s local flavours — aligot, artisan cheeses, and the charm of village dining.

Rolling Through the Heart of the Aubrac
The Aubrac plateau greets us with its morning calm, wide skies, crisp air, and a horizon that seems made for cycling. We roll straight from the hotel into a loop through the countryside, a route of soft ridgelines, stone barns, and quiet farm roads perfumed with wild thyme. The gradients are kind and the pace unhurried, perfect for finding a smooth rhythm and soaking up the timeless charm of this pastoral landscape.
By midday, we return to explore the cultural heart of the region. Choose between visiting a Laguiole knife workshop, where master craftsmen still forge by hand; a local fromagerie for a tasting of the region’s famed volcanic cheeses like Cantal and Salers; or a small museum or market visit that showcases the simple beauty of French rural life.
The afternoon is yours to savour at your own pace. Wander through Laguiole’s cobbled streets, sip a glass of rustic red, or simply sit back and watch the golden light sweep across the plateau. Tonight is a free evening, dine where you please and enjoy a moment of quiet before we rejoin the Tour’s rhythm tomorrow.
- Scenic morning loop: Ride through the serene, rolling countryside of the Aubrac plateau.
- Authentic cultural experiences: Visit knife makers, fromageries, or local markets steeped in tradition.
- Evening at leisure: Relax in the peaceful beauty of Laguiole, with time to unwind and dine as you wish.

Rolling Roads & Race Day Choices
This morning’s ride captures the very essence of France’s heartland, quiet, rolling terrain, gentle climbs, and long, flowing descents through the fringes of the Massif Central. We’ll set out early to make the most of the morning light, the roads winding through patchwork fields, sleepy hamlets, and distant church spires rising through the mist. It’s a route that strikes the perfect balance between effort and serenity, the kind of ride that makes time slow down.

This morning’s ride is a pure celebration of rhythm, landscape, and quiet beauty. For those with extra energy, optional extensions offer more climbing and a few hidden gems among the hills. After the ride, we gather for a casual lunch, then the day opens up, a chance to rest, explore, or simply sit back with a drink as swallows swoop through the garden air.

Choose your own dinner spot tonight, perhaps a rustic auberge serving truffade (potato and cheese perfection) with a glass of Saint-Pourçain red.
