Rider and Spectator Tour: Our Tour de France bike tours are ideal for both spectators and cyclists. Our main focus is watching the race and completing the most beautiful rides. Non-cyclists may wish to follow our ride routes too and meet up with the riders along the way, it is a great way for non-cycling partners to share the experience.
This trip also caters to spectators with a keen interest in the Tour de France. We have some side itineraries for non-cyclists to explore Italian and French villages but primarily, our trip follows the excitement and fanfare of the Tour de France.
Rider Options: You don’t have to be an elite cyclist to join us. With our high staff-to-guest ratio, we support different ride options each day – giving you choice. There are our ride extensions for our stronger riders to get more miles and vertical metres. And if you’d like an easier day, or a day off, join our non-cycling itineraries or our easier ride option.
We take the best care of you and your bike. Experienced ride guides support every ride and we have support vehicles fitted with professional bike carriers.

Bikestyle Tours has been running trips to the Tour de France for over 27 years. You’ll experience the very best riding in Italy and France and witness the 111th Tour de France. Great pizza, pasta, gelato, coffee, and the best hot chocolate for our Italian start. This will be a popular trip for the cuisine, scenery, and all things that are Italian before making our way by bike across the border into the French Alps. Here the scenery will change to enormous alpine passes and French countryside where iconic climbs await. We have our normal riding and non-riding itineraries. But we’ll also offer our experienced cyclists more time on the bike to conquer more vertical metres on some of the most magical roads in Europe.
Our trip starts in Lucca, where we are spoiled for scenic riding in the surrounding region of Tuscany. From here we will have access to witness the Team Presentations and the Grand Depart in Florence. Our trip then continues North to intersect the race for a sprint finish in Turin before following the riders along the race route North into the French Alps.
The penultimate part of our trip has us tackle iconic French Alpine passes such as Alpe d’Huez. Before our departure from Lyon Saint Exupery Airport.

Arriving at Florence airport at 10 am, our staff will greet you for a seamless transfer to Lucca. The afternoon is dedicated to bike setup, ensuring your gear is primed for the journey. If time allows, a brief shakedown ride ensures all bikes are in top condition.
Lucca’s Renaissance walls and historic charm offer a unique Italian experience. The intact city walls are perfect for cycling or leisurely walks. The town’s cultural richness and delectable local cuisine await exploration.
While the Tour de France doesn’t touch Lucca, Italy’s Giro d’Italia legacy resonates. Lucca’s terrain has often been part of training routes for cycling champions, reflecting a rich cycling culture.
The day concludes with a Welcome Dinner, fostering connections and setting the tone for an unforgettable cycling adventure through scenic Tuscany.

After observing the riders’ impressive rollout, our group will reunite with our bus and head to our next destination, the charming city of Turin.
Once we arrive, a satisfying dinner awaits us at the hotel in Turin, offering a relaxing end to an exciting day filled with the commencement of this iconic cycling event and the transition to our new hotel.

Upon reaching our next hotel, we gather for a well-deserved dinner, uniting to share tales of the day’s cycling exploits. Having attended the race and presentations on four occasions, our focus now shifts to our personal riding experiences as the Tour de France continues its northern route. Today, we step away from the race action to fully immerse ourselves in the scenic allure of the French Alps. The morning’s highlight includes conquering the renowned Col du Galibier, a legendary climb featured in numerous Tour de France events. Despite its altitude, accessing this iconic ascent from our valley-based location will offer a manageable challenge.
Post our invigorating ride, we’ll relax at our hotel, catching the electrifying climax of the TDF stage on television. To conclude this day of exploration in the French Alps, we gather for a delightful dinner at the hotel, where we share anecdotes and experiences from our Alpine escapades.

Once you’ve triumphed over this renowned Alpe, we’ll check in to our next hotel in the serene village of Huez. Together, we’ll celebrate this significant achievement over a shared dinner, reveling in the sense of accomplishment and camaraderie after a day of conquering the legendary Alpe d’Huez. |
