Today, our cycling journey takes us to conquer the renowned Pyrenean climbs near our home base: Col du Soulor and Col d’Aubisque. These grand ascents, frequently featured in the Tour de France, provide stunning panoramas of the lush greenery and rugged landscapes of the Pyrenees. Keep an eye out for the customary sight of livestock along the roads kissed by low-hanging clouds. After our descent, we’ll return to our hotel.

Tourmalet, a recurring highlight in the Tour, has historically played a pivotal role in the race for the prized Maillot Jaune. The stunning vistas and the sheer difficulty of this ascent capture the true essence of the Tour de France’s mountain stages.

Today, as the cyclists take on the challenges of the Plateau de Beille, we’ll conquer the renowned Pyrenean climbs near our home base: Hautacam, conveniently located just up the valley from our hotel. In the afternoon, the time is yours to explore the delightful town of Argeles, allowing you to soak up its unique ambiance and unearth the town’s cultural and historical treasures. In the evening we will come together for another dinner for our final evening in the Pyrenees.

On the Tour’s second rest day, we’ll grant our legs a well-deserved break, journeying via our luxury coach from the Pyrenees to Provence, marking the climactic final week of the race. The shift into Provence introduces a dramatic change in the landscape—shifting from the lush Pyrenean mountains to the rugged, white-stone terrain adorned with olive groves, creating the stunning panoramas of this region. Upon arrival and settling into our new destination, the late afternoon invites exploration, offering a glimpse of the area’s charm.

Built without mortar, it spans the Gardon River with three tiers of arches, supplying water to Nîmes. A UNESCO site, it offers historical insight and scenic beauty for visitors.

Following this delightful ride, the afternoon invites exploration of the village, allowing you to immerse yourself in its charming ambiance. In the morning, gear up for a ride to Saint Paul Trois Chateaux to see the start. After we’ve cheered the pros out of the village we will make our way back to our hotel and reconvene in the evening for a delightful dinner. Today we embark on one of our greatest challenges, Mont Ventoux, a Tour de France legend. Commence the climb from Bedoin, tracing through the forest, unveiling the mountain’s rich cycling history.
