2023 TOUR DE FRANCE GRAND DEPART
Spain’s Basque country will host the Grand Départ of the Tour de France in 2023. The first three stages are in an area that we are very familiar with and just love to visit.
Bikestyle Tours has hosted many trips through the Basque country, following the Tour of Spain. Arguably the most fanatical cycling fans come from the Basque. You will recall watching the Tour through your television and seeing the Basque red flag (with green and white) during the Pyrenees climbs.
A Grand Depart in Basque will be incredible to be a part of
Fanatics lined the climbs dressed in the distinctive orange of the state-sponsored Euskaltel–Euskadi team, chanting, chasing, and spurring their local riders toward victory. They are patriotic and love their cycling.
We will start our 2023 campaign in the Basque for the Grand Depart. Join us and experience the local tapas (or locally as pintxos), incredible riding, arts and culture, and the exciting build-up to the world’s largest annual sporting event.
Our cycling and spectactor trips will follow the biggest stages through France, including the French Alps, the Pyrenees, Central Massif, and for the final arrival in Paris on the Champs Elysees.
