Why we love the Spring Classics

The Spring Classics are cycling at its raw and authentic best. There are no long Alpine climbs or summit finishes, just narrow farm roads, steep cobbled bergs, unpredictable weather and some of the most passionate fans in world sport.

What makes this tour so special is that you don’t just watch the races, you become part of them. One day you’ll be riding the Oude Kwaremont, Paterberg and the legendary cobbles of Paris-Roubaix, and the next you’ll be standing roadside as the world’s best riders tackle the very same roads in front of thousands of passionate supporters.

We love that guests have the opportunity to ride both the Tour of Flanders Sportive and the Paris-Roubaix Challenge, giving them a true appreciation of the skill, toughness and determination required to race these iconic events.

Travelling with former Belgian professional cyclist Eric de Clercq adds another dimension to the experience. His local knowledge, racing stories and deep connection to the region provide insights that few visitors ever experience.

Beyond the racing, we love the culture that surrounds cycling in Belgium. From visiting the Tour of Flanders Centre and Museum to sharing local beers in traditional Belgian cafés, every day reinforces why this region remains the spiritual home of cycling.

The tour also provides an opportunity to visit the historic battlefields of Flanders, including Ieper and the Menin Gate, adding a unique cultural perspective to the week.

Most of all, we love the atmosphere. The crowds, the flags, the roadside celebrations and the excitement that builds throughout race week create memories that stay with our guests long after the final cobbled sector has been ridden.

For cyclists, there are few experiences that compare to spending a week immersed in the roads, races and culture of the Spring Classics.

For many cyclists, the Tour of Flanders and Paris-Roubaix represent the very best of professional cycling. The steep cobbled climbs of Flanders, the brutal pavé of northern France and the passion of Belgian cycling fans create an atmosphere unlike anywhere else in the sport.

Our 2027 Spring Classics Tour is designed to put you right in the middle of it all.

Over 11 days, you’ll experience the roads, races and culture that have made Belgium the spiritual home of cycling. Based in Gent and later Roubaix, you’ll ride the famous climbs and cobbled sectors that have shaped cycling history, including the Oude Kwaremont, Paterberg, Koppenberg and sections of the legendary Paris-Roubaix route.

A highlight of the tour is the opportunity to ride both the Tour of Flanders Sportive and the Paris-Roubaix Challenge. Riding these events yourself provides a completely different appreciation for the skill and toughness required by the professionals who race these roads at incredible speeds just days later.

Race week delivers some of the most exciting viewing in world cycling. You’ll experience the Tour of Flanders, the Grote Scheldeprijs and Paris-Roubaix from carefully selected viewing locations, allowing you to soak up the atmosphere as the world’s best riders battle across the cobbles in front of passionate crowds.

Travelling alongside former Belgian professional cyclist Eric de Clercq adds a unique local perspective to the experience. His knowledge of the roads, racing history and Belgian cycling culture provides insights that few visitors ever experience.

Away from the bike, you’ll enjoy traditional Belgian hospitality, visit the Tour of Flanders Centre and Museum, explore historic towns and spend time in the cafés and restaurants that form such an important part of local cycling culture. The tour also includes a visit to Ieper and the Menin Gate, providing an opportunity to learn about the region’s significant wartime history.

DATE: Friday, 9th April 2027
LOCATION: Ieper, Belgium

Today, we venture into cycling’s most legendary battleground, the cobbled roads of Paris-Roubaix, with all eyes on the infamous Arenberg Forest. Known as the Trench of Arenberg or Trouée d’Arenberg, this brutal 2.4-kilometre stretch of cobbles has humbled champions and shaped legends since it was first introduced to the race in 1968.

As teams prepare for the big day, we’ll be on-site to witness them scouting the course and fine-tuning their setups. It is an incredible opportunity to see WorldTour riders up close as they test their lines through the roughest sectors. If we’re lucky, we’ll see entire squads roll through Arenberg and the adjacent Wallers Forest and Orchies sections.

From there, we head to Roubaix Velodrome, the historic finish line of this epic Classic. You’ll stand on the track where heroes raise their arms in victory and legs collapse from the chaos of the cobbles. We’ll swing by the iconic Roubaix clubhouse, where you can pick up a souvenir and enjoy a well-earned local beer in the legendary cycling-themed bar.

Today, we witness one of the most brutal and beautiful days on the cycling calendar,  Paris-Roubaix, known around the world as the Hell of the North. There is no other race like it. Over 260 kilometres of relentless racing, with nearly 50 of those over bone-rattling pavé, this is a test of strength, skill and spirit like no other.

We recommend thoroughly reading the cancellation policies before making any decisions. Cancellations made within 90 days of the 2025 Giro d’Italia tour departure will result in a total loss of payment. It is strongly recommended to secure travel insurance upon booking.

Our Giro d’Italia tour covers the final two weeks of the race. Due to the locations it visits, it’s not practical to attend the race for just a day or two. Based on our experience, a two-week duration provides the best Giro experience.

The official route for the 2025 Giro race will be released in early November. However, our tour will cover the final two weeks of racing and will finish on the 2nd of June.

Yes, the 2025 Giro d’Italia is generally more challenging than a Tour de France cycling tour. It has steeper climbs, and the weather can be cooler, with many mountain passes still covered in snow, but it offers breathtaking views on every ride.
