Paris-Roubaix Spectator Experience – One Epic Day on the Cobbles

DATE: 12th April, 2026
LOCATION: Gare du Nord, Paris

Your day begins bright and early in Paris, where our experienced team will greet you at 7:15am at Gare du Nord. This bustling hub connects the French capital to the north of France and beyond, Belgium, Germany, the Netherlands, even the UK. From here, your adventure into cycling’s most brutal and legendary race begins.

We’ll head straight to Compiègne, the official starting point of Paris-Roubaix, to catch the riders signing on. We’ll leave Compiègne to catch the peloton thundering into their first stretch of cobblestones, where the chaos begins.

As the race heats up, so will your day! Depending on race timing and traffic, we’ll aim to visit multiple iconic pavé sectors, getting you up close to the raw energy and tension as the world’s best riders battle for position over the infamous stones.

From there, we’ll make our way to the legendary Roubaix Velodrome, the hallowed ground where cycling history is made. Here, you’ll witness the dramatic finale of the “Hell of the North,” as the winner powers onto the track to claim victory. Based on the pace of the race, the first rider is expected to enter the velodrome between 4:40pm and 5:25pm, so keep your camera ready!

Once the race wraps up, we’ll explore the finish area and take in the incredible atmosphere as fans and riders celebrate one of the sport’s greatest achievements.

Throughout the day, we’ll keep you fuelled with drinks, snacks, and a picnic lunch, so you can stay energised and focused on the action.

To finish your day, we’ll transfer you to Lille Europe station, arriving between 7:00pm and 7:30pm. The station has cafés and shops where you can grab a bite before catching your evening train.

We recommend thoroughly reading the cancellation policies before making any decisions. Cancellations made within 90 days of the 2025 Giro d’Italia tour departure will result in a total loss of payment. It is strongly recommended to secure travel insurance upon booking.

Our Giro d’Italia tour covers the final two weeks of the race. Due to the locations it visits, it’s not practical to attend the race for just a day or two. Based on our experience, a two-week duration provides the best Giro experience.

The official route for the 2025 Giro race will be released in early November. However, our tour will cover the final two weeks of racing and will finish on the 2nd of June.

Yes, the 2025 Giro d’Italia is generally more challenging than a Tour de France cycling tour. It has steeper climbs, and the weather can be cooler, with many mountain passes still covered in snow, but it offers breathtaking views on every ride.
