Did you know there is a more stunning climb on the opposite side of the valley of the Alpe d’Huez?
It has gravel, some tunnels and a spectacular grassy knoll from which you have a birds eye view of the famous 21 switchbacks. Quite possibly, for every 100,000 people that ride Alpe d’Huez, a single rider would climb the opposite side.
To get off the beaten track often presents more challenging roads, it may contain elements of gravel or something very steep. All of these elements make them hidden gems and they become folklore in our book of cycling tales with friends. To be on the discovery trail we feel our presence in the environment and give you feelings of freedom, vulnerability, strength, and pleasure all at once.
